MDS Patient’s Family Wouldn’t Let Her Give Up:

Despite a few minor issues, I am doing well and now have FOUR beautiful granddaughters aged 5, 2, 1 and 1-month! I have never met my donor, Michael, in person, but we keep in touch through e-mail. He lives in Paderborn, Germany, is married and has two children and one step-granddaughter. I volunteer occasionally in the Cancer Resource Center at Mercy Hospital in Redding and enjoy babysitting my granddaughters. I also like quilting, scrapbooking, photography, and walking on the trails near our home. We don't travel much because this journey has hit us hard financially; however, we did go on a family trip to San Diego and Disneyland in February. It was amazing! All the love and support I have received, together with a lot of determination on my part, has helped me to persevere.
