On my quest for a more harmonious life, meditation has become a staple in my routine. The practice has been around for thousands of years and explored by a range of people with no religious affiliation necessary. No matter what you believe, you can meditate. This ability to clear your mind and focus your thoughts is said to aid mental and physical health. For many, it’s a way to unwind . Along with silent meditation, singing bowls (a favorite of mine) and/or mantra chants can be used to lead you through a session. The latter has a great impact on the body and mind, and that’s what I wanted to touch on today. I’ve spoken about sound therapy before but instead of using instruments, chants can heighten your meditations in different ways.
