Over the weekend we had a family dinner with my parents and in-laws to have a joint celebration for all our birthdays, as well as a belated Mother's Day gathering. I love that both our parents get along so well and meet up to chat and catch up with one another often. Lil Pumpkin has been quite into drawing and painting rainbows lately. Perhaps because we saw a lovely rainbow on the way to work one day and it stuck in her mind! Anyway, they aren't, strictly-speaking, in the seven standard "rainbow" colours {red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.. in case you were wondering :P} but they are still very pretty and colourful. I asked her to draw 4 rainbows for each of her grandparent, and I'd frame it up to give it as a little gift to them at the dinner. Sort of like a I-love-you-thank-you-for-taking-care-of-me-for-the-last-5-years kinda present :) I'm not sure ho...
