So I found this blog while doing some research, I kinda wanna go to Ponte now

Last weekend was the actual Help Portrait Day . While the volunteers in South Africa pretty much shoot all year round (because we have the opportunity and capacity to), the rest of the world mostly shoots on one appointed day in December. And for many countries this year, it was December 8. The hubby and I found ourselves in Kliptown on December 8. It was weird. And it must be fate. That we would end up chilling out at one of our favourite places in Johannesburg on Help Portrait Day . The sun was blazing hot and it was way too early on a Saturday morning to be perky, but we were. Very energised actually. I shouldn’t have felt surprised. Because that’s how it always works for me. I wake up at an ungodly hour. You’ll hear me mumble a string of expletives as I get my ass in the shower and get dressed and armed (with my camera gear) into the townships.
