If "history is just one bloody thing after another" then life is just one plan after another, be they failed plans or incomplete plans or contingency plans. Life could even be three plans going on at once but what matters is that masterplan. First of all, planning anything too complex is enough of a nightmare, going crazy over carrying out the elaborate plan or fussing over its details is the icing on top of the cake. If there is anything that I have learnt in the life, it is the undeniable fact that nothing ever goes according to plan or the masterplan. Murphy's Law dictates that what can go wrong will go wrong so contingencies are a safe bet. Promises are meant to be broken and plans are meant to go wrong. In any case, work experience especially in event management (of any sort) will prove that Plan Bs and Cs should be ready for deployment at any time.
