Instagram was one of those things people thought would go crazy for a while and die down soon after, but surprise, surprise, it hasn’t. In Oct 2010, they had 100,000 users. Two years later, in Oct 2012, they have passed the 80 million user mark. Instagram has also revealed that its users have shared almost 4 billion photos. That’s a far cry from Facebook’s 300 million photos uploaded everyday, but its announcement yesterday might change it all. Over the next few days, Instagram will be rolling out profiles on the web. Your web profile will feature a selection of your recently shared photographs just above your profile photo and bio, giving others a snapshot of the photos you share on Instagram.
