#Singapore Study says this app may help you lose more weight: Study says this app may help you lose more weight

If you're looking to lose a few kilos, a new study suggests that the online diet program and app SparkPeople might help get the job done. Researchers from the University of Texas in the US looked at data from 1,258 randomly selected users of the diet tracker SparkPeople. Those who entered their weight onto the site at least four times per month lost an average of 11 pounds/five kilos per month more that those who didn't, reports Mobilhealthnews.com . Findings appear in the Journal of Medical Internet Research. A prior study from 2011, published in the Journal of Translational Behavioral Medicine, also ranked SparkPeople as a top weight-loss program in terms of how well it measures up to scientific standards.
