Everyone knows I only go to my hairstylist, Gina for my haircut. She’s expensive (by my housewifey cheap standards), but she makes me look hip and young and her existence is the only reason why I (dare to) keep my hair short. In comparison to Singapore, hair salons in a decent commercial establishment are not cheap too. The last time I checked, it was R400 for a haircut. That’s almost SGD64 or USD50 for a haircut. For some of us housewives and non-working bloggers, that’s alot of money to cut our hair. It’s something we moan about, even among the working men. So when my friend, Heather said she needed to find a good cheap place for a haircut, I took her to the hubby’s favourite hair salon . She’s got guts, I tell you.     The cheapest men's haircut is at Mumbai Xpress Barber shop at R30. They in Northcliff, Johannesburg on corner of Fir drive and Weltevreden road. Prices sometimes drop to low as R15 during the week! Upmarket salon and very friendly staff. They also do threading, steam shaves and the unforgettable Indian head massages.
