{New Blog Post} Lake Como, Italy: We hopped on a train and went to Como..

So we got bored in winter dead Milan after a couple of days and decided to do a day trip to Lake Como. The hubby wanted to go to Venice or Florence but I wasn’t going to travel 3 hours to another city just to spend half a day there. So we hopped on a near empty train from Milan and it took us to Como, one of the towns along Lake Como in an hour. We were loving winter in Italy because the harsh weather meant almost no tourists and an entire train cabin to ourselves. Nice. Along the way, we took in the winter landscape of the outskirts of Milan. It was a gorgeous spread of white ice and snow. Lake Como was supposed to be a touristy place. I read that during summer, this place is packed to the brim with visitors. But since it was winter and dreadfully cold, the place was practically half shut down. The streets were quiet. The boats were not sailing. The restaurants were empty...
